About

Hi, I’m Harrison You! I graduated from UCLA in 3 years with a B.A. in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, and was selected as a Sharpe Fellow, one of the university’s most prestigious undergraduate honors.

I bring a rare multidisciplinary background that allows me to relate to students and their unique needs. I started in STEM, publishing a paper in Molecular Cancer Research, honed my creative writing skills as a playwright, before beginning my career in Corporate Strategy – advising Fortune 500 companies with their most pressing challenges – and later transitioning into Product Management as an early product manager at one of the valuable software start ups in the world.

My Mentoring Style

As a consultant, I purposely work with fewer than 15 students at a time, ensuring students and families have the dedicated support needed to succeed throughout the admissions process.

Unlike large companies that pass students between multiple consultants and editors, you’ll work directly with me, ensuring continuity and holistic support during your admissions process.

Over the last 5 years, I’ve helped students of all kinds, high achieving and underdog applicants, gain admissions to some of the top undergraduate and graduate schools, like Columbia, Duke, USC, Berkeley, and UCLA. I leverage my unique strategic and artistic background to help students craft applications and essays that are compelling, authentic, and unexpected, so that you stand out in a competitive field.

What Makes Me Different

Comprehensive guidance, dedicated support from start to finish.

Small Caseload, Unmatched Support

I intentionally work with fewer than 15 students at a time so every family receives ample, individualized support. I’m not a large company with high-volume caseloads or a one-size-fits-all approach — my goal is to make sure students and families feel heard, supported, and thoughtfully guided throughout the process.

I’m With You, How You Need Me to Be

I understand what this experience is like — the hope, anxiety, and stress. I tailor our sessions to align with your unique learning style, preferred form of feedback, and individual needs.

Lifelong Skills

For many students, this is the first time they’re asked to “sell themselves,” and it can bring up a lot of doubt: Am I good enough? What is special about me?

This won’t be the last time they’ll face moments like this. There will be more applications, more uncertainty – internships, graduate school, promotions, even moments where they might change their career entirely. I help students reframe admissions as an opportunity for self-discovery and growth. Along the way, I will help them cultivate skills like reflection, storytelling, interviewing, and networking – lifelong tools they’ll carry into college and beyond.

Strategic Positioning, Creative Storytelling

The strongest applications are both strategic and creative – you must excite them on “paper” and as a person.

I ensure that each application is crafted to reflect a student’s uniqueness, passions, and potential in a way that excites admissions committees. From writing compelling essays to highlighting unique extracurriculars, I will leverage my analytical and artistic background to help you create a comprehensive application that stands out and delivers results.
